      When I first heard about this band, I was excited. They bring back an energy you can rarely find in music anymore. This album kept this tradition going. Famous First Word's sounds so different from anything out there. It sounds somewhat early 2000's, but it can't be defined that easily. The instruments are electric and bring about an energy. The lyrics are interesting in the way that they can't be heard line for line, but as a single piece. In other words, the songs on the album really work together and they quite simply work. No song on the album sounds the same.This album is fantastic.
      The only downsides are that it can lack creativity. It offers a new sound, but I feel as if they could've furthered this sound. And though the lyrics are cohesive, they aren't necesarily as full and thoughtful as some.
F**K YEAH RATING: 7.5 - Great album. Get it if you can.

Theophilus London - Timez Are Weird These Days

We actually received this album early! Our friends at Warner Brother Records hooked us up with an early stream. Thank you to them! Now we must continue-

      Timez Are Weird These Days is probably one of the strangest albums I've ever heard and I mean that in the best way possible. This album sounds like nothing I have ever heard before. It is a mix of rap, pop, electro- just a bunch of crazy sounds. But the thing that seperates this album from other albums with random sounds is that it fuses perfectly. I listened to this album straight through several times and I can honestly say, ever song sounded like a different song. But all together they form this crazy album. On top of the base sound, Theophilus himself is a gifted rapper. His lyrics are creative and he can rap successfully with his sounds.
      The only downsides are that Theophilus' delivery is somewhat sketchy. It isn't consistently  great in some songs. That is probably one of the only flaws.
F**K YEAH RATING: 8.5 Definitely get this album when it comes out.

Taking Back Sunday’s new self-titled album is the bands return to their roots in a way and is the first album to be released by the band with its original line-up. The album opens up with “El Paso”, one of the most “Rock and Roll” songs to be written by the band yet. Lead singer, Adam Lazzara stated that it is one of the heaviest songs they have ever written. Throughout the album there is no doubt that this is a tbs album, the unique vocals and instrumental bring the flavor that any tbs fan will love. Fans of taking back Sundays old sound who have felt perhaps slightly disappointed by the direction of the newest album will be happy to hear that this new self-titled is everything that they have been waiting for. The self-titled does keep much of the good from the previous works and altogether creates a mix of the styles that I find very nice. If you can only afford to grab a few songs I would have to say Faith, This is all now and El Paso some must haves. Though some of the old angst that really brought Taking Back Sunday to the next level is missing it’s a solid album.

Set Your Goals - Burning at Both Ends

When I listened to the singles that were released early, I was not impressed. The rest of the album left the same impression. This album has much of the same sound as the previous album, but barely any of the energy. It shows the band's talent, but barely any creativity. There were a few gems on the album like "Start the Reactor" and "Product of the 80's" that I thoroughly enjoyed, but barely anything else. They were all too generic. The ability to make great music was there, but all the songs sounded very much alike and the lyrics were pretty average. Burning at Both End's needed more energy and a lot more creativity that I know the band has.

F**K YEAH RATING: 5.5 - If you're a huge fan buy it, buts its not great.

LMFAO - Sorry for Party Rocking

      I was very impressed with this album which came as an immense surprise to me. Now, of course I didn't rate this album on lyrical prowess, but more or less how much it would vibe with a party scene. This album has basically every mood that would be included in a club- energetic, chill, sexual. I was caught up in the sound of the album and it just worked.
     The album was however by no means perfect. At times it got really boring and repetitive and though the title of the album clearly showed it was about partying, that was literally all there was to this album. I swear I heard the word party at least 5 times in each line.

F**K YEAH RATING: 6.7 = Eh. I guess, if your into that stuff.


Liam Finn - FOMO

     I heard several songs from this album a while ago and I thought it was going to be a gem... I was right. This album is captivating. The lyrics are great, the sound is awesome- the talent and time put into this album is clearly evident.
     It was really hard to pinpoint flaws with this album cause it was so well done. It does sound a little reminiscent of other songs I've heard, but thats only barely.   Other than a few small flaws that most albums have, this album was great!
F**K YEAH RATING: 8.9= Definitely give the album a listen. Buy it if you can.
